JurARCulinary is a project dedicated to the enogastronomic diversity of the Jura mountains in Switzerland and France. The Jura not only unites different linguistic and cultural areas, but is also characterised by the diversity of its geological forms, such as plateaus, valleys, gorges, forests, rivers, lakes and sunny slopes.
This diversity of landscape has given rise to a wide range of areas used for different agricultural, viticultural and livestock activities. And even when it comes to processing and consuming these products, the cultural diversity of the Jura Arc is reflected in a wide variety of foods, dishes, wines and places to enjoy them.
JuraARCulinary is a project that aims to highlight the enogastronomic diversity of the Jura Arc and to share knowledge and insights about the territory and the people behind it. All this is done with a particular focus on biodiversity management and biodynamics in the Jura.
The medium-term goal of the project is to share the information gathered through hortopia.org and possibly through the development of an exhibition and a publication. The long-term goal is to create a space (or even a network of spaces) dedicated to JurARCulinary. This could be, for example, a food truck, a bistro, a restaurant or an agriturismo that offers food and wine products to the general public.
