Last weekend was nothing short of a transformative experience. On the serene island of Ekskäret, I joined the Kilimanjaro cohort of the Inner Development Goals (IDG) Ambassadors Programme – an intensive journey initiated by the Inner Development Goals Organisation to advocate for global inner development.
A holistic Approach to Systemic Change
The programme delved deep into profound theories of change, challenging us to understand global challenges through the lens of inner development. While built upon robust research, this wasn’t mere academic discourse, but a radical exploration of how inner development can catalyse societal transformation.
Beyond traditional Learning: Immersive Experiences
What distinguished this experience was its rich, culturally diverse approach and deeply immersive exercises. Meditation sessions cultivated inner silence, while contemplative island walks reconnected us with ourselves and our environment. We weren’t passive learners, but active architects of change.
A community of Practice and Purpose
Perhaps the most powerful aspect was the community of IDG Ambassadors. Each participant brought unique experience, research and passion – united by a shared commitment to addressing our multiple systemic crises by building a global community of practice for inner development.
I’m deeply grateful to the Inner Development Goals Foundation and the Ekskäret Foundation for creating this extraordinary transformative learning space. The research, knowledge, tools and connections forged here aren’t just personal achievements, but collective resources for meaningful change.
As an IDG Ambassador, I’m more committed than ever to building the research, knowledge and practical tools that can help us reimagine our approach to global challenges.
The journey continues.
